| * Lashburn, SK PBR - Aug 8/08 - The 5th Annual Brad Phipps Memorial Bull Riding was a huge success with a warm sunny evening, packed stands and sensational bull riding action. Scott Schiffner was named the 2008 Champion as he won the long go with 85.5 points on Braithwaite's Tangle Flags (the bull had bucked Scott off at Prince Alberta earlier this year). Then came a spectacular 93 for Scott on Braithwaite-Dansey's Wrangler's Rockstar. The short go saw four of the six finalists ride their bulls with Ras Evarts ending up in second place overall followed by Aaron Roy. |
| * Wanham, AB PBR - June 20/08 - Northern Alberta fans packed the grandstand at Wanham on a sunny spring evening to see Ty Elliot top the field of professional bull riders. The Vernon, BC native rode a pair of Braithwaite bulls, Vanilla Sky for 86 in the long go and Gunpowder & Lead for 88 in the short go (174 on two). Runner up was Vince Northrup with 169.5 on two. |
| * PBR Canada Bull riders enjoyed a packed house in Eastend, Saskatchewan Saturday evening, April 26 with Scott Schiffner taking home the title. Scott rodeo Armstrong/Franklin's Afro Man to 89 points to win the short go and the $1000 'Moment of Truth' bonus. |
* Prince Albert, SK PBR action wrapped up Sat, April 12 with Bo Hill winning the overall Championship. The West Glacier, MT bull rider went 4 for 4 on his bulls over two nights of action - taking home the SaskTel trophy and top prize money. Hill's first ever Canadian bull riding win, the lanky athlete rode Wrangler Rockstar (Dancey & Braithwaite) to 91 pts in the short go (177 on two) to win night one. Aaron Roy rode this same bull to 91 pts one week ago in Saskatoon to win the short go at that event.

* Aaron Roy and his brother Nathan dominated the action at the 2008 Rocky Cup Series event April 6 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Presented by Dickies, the event combined PBR Bull Riding with Extreme Motocross action.
Aaron Roy (Asquith, SK) covered all three of his bulls to win the event Championship and $7,165.28 in earnings. Roy rode Braithwaite & Dansey’s Wrangler Rockstar to a 91 marked score in the final round and a total combined score of 259.5. Right on the heels of little brother, was Nathan Roy (Asquith, SK) with a combined 174.5 and $5,128.64 in earnings.
Rocky Boot Bonus: Aaron Roy was awarded the $1,000 Rocky Boot Bonus and a new pair of Rocky boots by possessing the highest combined marked score of 168.5. |

Roy Rings in the 2008 PBR Canada Season
Aaron Roy started his 2008 season the way 29 other competitors hoped.... Roy finished 3rd in the first round of the Brooks PBR with an 84.5 pt ride on Calgary Stampede's CS325 Break Dance. The cards matched him up against Girletz's RG200 Bond in the final round for an 87 point tally. Roy pockets nearly $2750 for his efforts.
