TNT is now headed to the Built Ford Tough Series presented by Wrangler, when it rolls into San Antonio, for the San Antonio Invitational presented by Cooper Tires, August 1-2.
Is this your first time riding on the BFTS?
This is the 4th or 5th one I've rode at, my last one was at Grand Rapids last year.
How important is it making onto the BFTS?
It's a great opportunity. 3D has been putting on a lot of great bull ridings with great money in front of us. The chance to make it to the Built Ford Tough is another great opportunity we have now.
You are the reining champ in CPRA, leader in PBR Canada, tell us what its like having a such at back to back national titles?
Back to back titles have been on my mind since I won the championship last year. I have been working really hard, hitting the gym 2 hours a day 3 or 4 days a week. I feel the best I can remember ever feeling. I can't remember ever riding as good as I have this year. Winning back to back titles would be a great payoff.
Starting out who was your biggest influences in the sport?
When I was young Troy Dunn was a big influence. The way he rode the way he carried himself. He was huge then I got the chance to meet him and he was just bigger then life, a great guy. As my career progressed Quinton Lowry was great, taught me the in the ins and outs of the business. Cody Snyder and his wife, Rhonda, have really been a big part of my career lately.
Outside of the sport who has been a big influence?
My family has been a huge part of my success. We run about 400 head of cattle and without my family, especially my dad picking up the slack when I am gone I wouldn't be where I am.
